lil89ram50
ok guys im new to this site, but have been into mini trucks for a while! ok so i have jus recently piked up a 85 king cab nissan 720! stock z24, i upgradeed to a 38/38 weber, head hasket went out, and no9w want to do the ka swap! i will be picking up a ka this weekend for 300 bones! that is a complete and runing motor, with wiring and ecu! but it came out of a 1995 s14, so i need a lil help there :) as ive heard those wiring harnesses suck to work with :( so i got the truck in rough shape, did a few things to it like the carb, and deleted all emissions, and jus a good tune up, then some interior things, then a 4/5 static drop, then i did a lil body work, and painted 2 tone,(rattle can) satin grape on top, then satin black on bottom, shaved mirrors and passenger door lock well heres thwe pics, theres a few of them, so i hope you like progress pics as much as i do! and i have only had it a few months, and paid 200 bux for it! so all compliments, comments, ass hole remarks, criticism all accepted! i like to know what others rthink, im only 17, and am in college, with a full time job, so i do my best to make time for it, but its been down for almost a month now, and jus want the ka in and driving again! so all help is greatly appreciated Quote Link to comment

Guest DatsuNoob
You're either going to have to make a custom steering link, or get Frontier KA oil pan and related gear with the lower portion of the truck timing cover I would assume, since you have to be able to mount the external oil pump, and I'm not sure if the S14 KA's one is set up for it. I think you may even have to use the dizzy from the truck motor too since the 240 uses a cam driven unit and the truck's is nearly identical to the old L motor design. Make sure to get rear sump setup since there was 3 different variations of the KA(de) pan (front, mid, and rear sump). I would think a steering link would be an easier option, cheaper, and less involved too. Talk to Beebani, I believe he's made one for someone else before. Good luck. Quote Link to comment
lil89ram50
yea but instead of doing all that wouldnt it jua be easiest to cut the monuting flange off and put it back on 180* so its a rear sump, and just extend the pick up tube to the rear ? Quote Link to comment
CypeSess73
As it says 2MB on the website Id guess you will be very limited in what you can do. Certainly WHDLoad wont be of much use with only 1MB. Id imagine at a pinch you could only run games that use 512K RAM. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Pretty sure you can't put the KA24E front timing cover onto a DE from a car. The '95 has a CAS on the side of the head and no external oil pump. The KA24E has a notch in the front right of the pan for oil pump clearance. Modify the pan for rear sump pick up. Get an oil pan and rear sump pick up tube from a truck KA24DE and graft it onto the front sump from the '95 DE. The only trouble, (maybe) will be joining/matching the front right corner where the truck has a notch. Quote Link to comment
