Any Washingtonians have "Collector Vehicle" plates?

I was considering getting these for my 74 620 because:

1: you only have to have a rear plate (and I want a clean look up front)

2: you dont have to get tabs.

I wont be driving the truck too often, because I ride bikes to get around for the most part, so this seems like a great idea.

Im just wondering who here has them, and what the +'s and -'s are.

I don't, but my Mom had them on her Falcon.

Couple things:

While it's hard to enforce, they can and have ticketed folks for commuting with them. Commuting once a month on a sunny Friday is usually not going to draw notice, though it's still not "legal".

You CANNOT do things like dump runs or trips to Lowes. Cops will ticket you leaving landfills/transfer stations with collector plates, and I've seen them sitting in wait for just that thing. Even if only occasionally. The only time it's acceptable to have stuff in the bed with collector plates is going to shows.

That's why I don't have them on my '68, even though I only put around 500 miles a year on it.

But there are plenty of folks who get away with it.
