all right i dont know a whole lot about datsuns but im learning i pulled the engine any tranny out of my 77 620 i believe its a L20b? (i could be wrong) so i gota a 4 banger an a 5 speed i need to get rid of its got 38k original miles on her found a guy at school who wanted it but i dont wanna get screwed over sellin it how much does some thing like this usually go for?

do not sell to the guy at school, sell the motor and especially the 5 speed on here, us ratsuners could use it alot more than the guy at school, seperate the engine and tranny and sell them separate in the parts for sale, i would price the motor at about $100 and the tranny at $150, you could sell things like the manifolds and carbs seperate

Look on the top of the block just below the head behind the dipstick handle. Will say L20B. If the exhaust and intake manifolds are bolted together under the carb it's no older than a '77 for sure. The tranny isn't very clear in the picture but the 5spd. was available starting in '77.

Damn, now I want to buy that thing. 5 Spd, L20, low miles... I could build the shit out of it, get a couple side draft mikuni's or webers, and a sick exhaust, for prob under 2K.

 

How does it run? I wanted to go EFI with a KA24, but that thing is tempting.
