onefine,fivedime Posted September 25, 2009 Report Share Posted September 25, 2009 i have a header for my single cam ka, went 2 put it in but having some trouble, plus my eyes may b f'n w me but the angle looks like its gona hit the steering linkage. ive been told that it may be a truck header.. can anyone tell by the pic? also, is there such thing as a required distance that the MAF sensor needs 2 be from the throttle body? ive heard 20",17",14" all kinds of stuff! but ive seen 510s w just a 90* elbow so i wana know b4 i start fabricating mine =) thanks alot! All 240sx aftermarket headers ive seen are either weird 4 to 1 with a downpipe or the 4/2/1. ive never seen one like that whatever brand OBX pacesetter Oh and just and elbow should be fine for maf.. i ran my sohc and dohc that way. fo0manchu Posted September 25, 2009 Report Share Posted September 25, 2009 Just agreeing with what norcaldime said about the maf. It makes a little difference on N/A but not to much. I have my ka24de that way and runs fine. Idle gets a little jumpy sometimes because of the turbulent air and maf reading a little more air than it should making it run a bit rich. But not bad at all. Not bad enough for me to make a longer pipe. Quote Link to comment
