13B521
any idea where i can pick up a front set of stainless brake lines for the 521 pick ups. ive been searching around and looking at different brake line companies online and have found nothing. im guessing im just looking in the wrong places. i hope some one can point me in the right direction. if not specifically for the 521 are there any brake lines from a later year, like a hardbody, that would fit. im assuming stainless lines for new trucks are more readily available. any help would be appreciated. motavated
I did the beebani disk brake swap on my truck and used 1995 pathfinder ss brake lines on my 620. Quote Link to comment
13B521
i went the beebani disc set up as well. after i installed them in noticed my lines were dry rotted and cracked. thanks for the heads up. hopefully they will fit mine as well. now to find an affordable set... motavated
Most brake kits for the path come with 3 hoses. 2 for the front and 1 for the rear. The front fit right. The rear you have to buy a new connector or adapter. The treads are not the same from the hose to the metal line. Small thing... Quote Link to comment
Str8_69
Check with a local hydraulic fitting company as well, I've had lines made cheaper than kits or parts stores before. Just took the old lines in and sed "I need one of these" Quote Link to comment
motavated
I tried that localy here in cali and they at first told me yes, No problem!!! Then they saw the originals and told me that they could not do it. They were going to use the originals but there was no room they said with the pathfinder lines. you can try. Quote Link to comment
13B521
what do you mean by "no room with the pathfinder lines"? Quote Link to comment
motavated
The pathfinder has one metal O "part" that connects to the caliper right? Well supposedly there is not enough metal "hose" on that part for the machine to clamp on the rubber hose. I find it stupid since they clamped the rubber hose at the factory. Why cant they clamp them? Quote Link to comment
13B521
i gotcha. so you took the pathfinder line in to get made and they couldnt replicate it, so you bought premade stainless line, right? Quote Link to comment

And most likely they are using their own judgement on the side of caution if it is questionable. It is a safetly item you are working with, and if they dont like it, then they are not going to do it. motavated
Right! I bought mines from ebay. They are good, B work. Goodridge brand? but I cant find them anywhere anymore. Call them up? I think I had the last set made. They were custom made by them. Quote Link to comment
