Buzzbomb
Does anyone happen to know if these are still available from Nissan, or if they are a standard size for Japanese cars? The plastic filler plug on my 720's steering box is sort of fouled up; the head is more or less 1/2 torn off the "threads". I'd like to put something in there fairly soon so I don't get a whole bunch of crud in there. Anything else I could use? It almost looks like it has a little vent hole in it, so I don't really know if I could use a correct size bolt (whatever that is). Quote Link to comment
hang_510
it has a little vent hole in it, correct. grab 1 at the JY. NLA AFAIK Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You must have standard steering. They are all the same for 2 and 4wd 720s. The Nissan number is 48060 23100 under $10. Try a wrecking yard also. The plug will fit your back pocket. Quote Link to comment
Buzzbomb
Guys, thanks! I thought about using a shortened bolt, but then I noticed that vent hole on the top, and knew it was there for a reason. I'll have to see if I can up with a JY that has a 720 first- pretty slim pickens 'round these parts :) ..Then maybe one can somehow find it's way into my pocket! Otherwise, I'll have to hit the dealer with that PN, thanks to Datzenmike  Quote Link to comment
