datzenmike
This has been discussed before. The L24/26/28 is about 50% longer than the stock motor. This would mean moving the rad into the back or cutting up the fire wall and moving the motor and tranny back. You may be able to move the rad forward into the grill and (maybe) use an electric fan while removing the clutch fan from the water pump for room. Lots of work and money. WARNING: there are and infinite number of ways to fuck up a good truck and only one (or maybe two) ways to get it right. Also the L26 is a boat anchor (no offense to the S30 crowd) and the last thing you need is more weight up front in a truck. The KA24E and DE produce as much power and is a well documented swap. If adventuresome try a VG30i or VG30E V6 swap. 160 hp and weighs just a bit more than a KA motor. These motors are indestructible if you keep them full of water and oi and are cheap to findl.
