xAH510x
this part is located right next to the rear control arm. wat is this exactly? is seems to hold the body to the rear end. do we need to do anything to this? Quote Link to comment
oldschoolrice
Rear crossmember mounts. I have heard that replacing/upgrading these can make a big improvement in handling. I'm working on getting my rear crossmember modified so I can find out soon for myself. 2/3's of the way down the page for polyurethane ones. http://www.racetep.com/datsunsusp.html Solid mounts sold here. http://www.designproductsracing.com/510_RearSuspension.html Hope this helps. oldschoolrice
Well I haven't done it, or actually seen it myself before, but I believe that would be what people refer to as a slotted crossmember. The inner up/down slotting would be for adjusting camber and the outer in/out slotting would be for adjusting toe. A more useful alternative to slotting the crossmember would be the adjustable brackets that can be found in a couple different places. Datsports already assembled crossmember, http://datsport.com/Adjustable_rear_cross_member.html They also sell a do-it-yourself kit. xAH510x
is the adjustable rear crossmember brackets necessary? or can we do without? Quote Link to comment
