Guest DatsuNoob
http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.php?t=14198 :D:D:D I've been persuaded against using the stuff after weighing all the pros and cons. Laquer doesnt flex like urethanes, cracks easily, cant be painted over with anything else w/out stripping to bare metal again, etc. I've done some digging around, and found that it came out kinda hazy from the pics I saw. I guess you could shoot more clear, but it's really up to you, not trying to be the turd in the punch bowl:D. While the stuff is fairly inexpensive, I think I'm gonna use a single stage urethane. Will last longer and can be shot over in the future if I decide to change colors. I saw some Eastwood single stage on ebay for $100 for a gallon, with reducer and hardener! That's probably the route I'll go. Laquer does dry really fast, and can be shot again and again without a respray window, but colors are limited and if you wanna respray, it has to be laquer, no urethanes. Quote Link to comment
