Testing out my suspension

Recommended Posts

Haven't posted in a long time. But finally got some head way on my Dime (I did spend a year in Iraq so I didn't get to work on it much), but got majority of my suspension and wanted to test it out.

Front end consites of

280zx struts with ground controls.

Techno toy tuning T/C rods

240sx camber plates

Top Motoring lower control arms kit (got the parts from them, did the modification ourselves).

Rear is modified crossmember

and top motoring coilovers.

I do have the old front struts with brakes sitting in the engine compartment to simulate some weight, but we know they are not the same as the KA24 and tranny.

Whole car. Front about halfway down, the rear about 1/4 of the way down.

Nice.

On your Adjustable Tension Rod units ( T/3 ), are you using bushings or are you going w/o any bushings?

Thanks guys.

As for the t/3, I'm running with out bushings. I bought them from Top Motoring and before I put them on I asked about that and they said you didn't need bushings with them. So I'll give it a try lol.

I got the same TC rods, I am putting the front end together this week. I was told the same by the guys at T3, no bushings.

I was thinking about using thin Derlin washers, just to keep any noise from ever happening, and harsh metal to metal contact, or even thin rubber ones.

What do you think, since you already have them in place?

Honestly I'm not sure. My car doesn't have a motor so I can't drive her.
