  1. i'll be in LA this weekend with a R160 in my trunk, if you want it you can reach me at 480-278-28eight1 call or text. i'll be in the Glendale area around 7PM this evening through Sunday till 2-3PM or so. no pictures, but it's in fantastic condition. FD isn't suitable for my project. so if you have an R160/180/200 with a steeper FD we might be able to work something out. like i said, if you have any questions you can reach me at 480-278-288one. looking to get 230 for it since that's what i paid. and ofcourse, if you live in Phoenix and want it drop me a line as well. thanks for looking! btw, public apology for spazzing out in the Eagle Rock swap meet thread months ago. i make mistakes, and it won't happen again.
  2. the differential had no stubs on it, and i was unsuccessful in making it 'behave' like a open differential at the event. after getting the cover off i've still been unsuccessful to get the spider gears to rotate, so it's either damaged (i got disgusted and walked away before i could look that close and or remove the diff) or something is caught in the spider gears. are you the seller? because i've never seen someone so vigorously defend a seller that sold someone a part with a glorified fairy tale. or maybe I'm just use to a community more willing to stand behind the person that got scammed. Clicky
  3. like i said, im new to the community and have only learned about R160,180's etc from pictures. up until the swap meet i had never held one in my hand or personally inspected it. and even if somehow he misheard me when i asked if he had any R180's i was still told it had a 4.11FD and a LSD. two things that would be difficult to check if the rear sticker was missing.
  4. your probably thinking of the 4G63 which shares nothing with my motor. it's capable in it's own right and people have made 700WHP on a stock SRT-4 longblock. right around 1,000WHP is doable with very little block modification (crank straps and ARP bolts and most importantly, a very good tune) the highest i've seen from 'my' motor is around 1,400-1,500HP in an all out drag motor.
  5. awesome to see that i'm no safer buying something at a datsun swap meet as i would be buying something on Ebay, with no pictures, and terrible feedback. what i was being told i was buying. R180 4.11:1 FD LSD (i neglected to ask whether it was a Viscous or Clutch type, but regardless it was supposed to be an LSD) what i got R160 3.54:1 FD Open (2 pinion) Diff. nice to see at my first Datsun swap meet, and my first weekend owning a Datsun period i get completely fucked over by a Vendor. if anyone knows who was selling all the rear end's directly east of Jame's spot and right behind the Datsun 510 that was for sale on a trailer i would love to get in touch with him.
  6. It has begun. Man, the FWD swap on this is going to be tough. :(
  7. Already got in and got my stuff. You guys definately need a bigger venue though :) Lots of awesome cars at the event as well, ill have oics later.
  8. oh yeah, he went there. how was the swapmeet motavated?
  9. just picked up my 510 from james. looking forward to the swapmeet and meeting more Datsun'ers
