I'm a little bored so In an effort to try and inject myself back into Datsun's, I bring you.....my daily driver 3shittyZee.

SO metal picked this up last labor day. I have a 100 mile commute, so I decided that the most reliable thing I could enjoy would be a 350Z. I hate new cars, and I'm really  picky since I've always enjoyed my Datsuns, but having access to almost any aftermarket and OE part available at work, I opted to go ahead and search one out since my JCW Mini was getting annoying. Picked up my '07 HR from some dealer east of Atlanta. It's not much to see, and wasn't too quick but it's comfortable, reliable, and fun as hell. 

 

I told myself I was just gonna leave it alone and drive it, but that didn't last long.

Got a deal on a set of double staggered Enkei RPF1's so I couldn't help myself.

Within a few weeks these asshats at work convinced me to invest in a Tomei Titanium exhaust. Greatest investment ever. Picked up 32whp after tuning and made 292 on stock intakes.

Weird. My LZ22 didn't ping with a 9.5:1 CR, 275 cam, built big valve ported A87 peanut head, 93 octane and all of the trimmings. Made 105whp on a weber 32/36 a few years back in the heat of summer.

I think the Z31-T stock requires somewhere in the neighborhood of 400-500 cranking amps below 32 degrees. Literally anything more than that is overkill. If you are dead set on an AGM, look into Johnson Controls (Same manufacturer as the popular Optima) or more commonly known as "Duralast AGM" batteries. Within the last 2 years they've gone through a total overhaul since they changed manufacturers from Eastern Penn and the overall quality has gone quite impressive. You can get one for somewhere in the neighborhood of $150 last I checked. Just don't treat them like a deep cycle. 

I'm gonna say it: Something doesn't make sense about the shooter and maybe I'm just over thinking it.....but the original claims from the officers involved were that there were multiple shooters (2-4 is what the officers involved stated.) Now they caught the shooter out of public eyes and blew him up with a bomb disposal unit? Now they say that he acted alone...

And yeah you can blame Obama, he know that only further pressing the racial issues in America will further divide us and like always, we will miss what's happening in the grand scheme of things. Rather than saying "we shouldn't rush to judgement until we know the facts" he plays off of everyone's fears.

I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but it's quite strange that less than 48 hours after the state department re-opens the hillary clinton investigation that this occurs.

The problem is it ISN'T a cover.  It's more indicative of how our society is becoming unraveled.  After November, whether either one of them wins, we may have some severe problems in this country.  Not to mention, look at the last two black guys killed.  One was on the ground in handcuffs or scuffling, and they fucking shot him point blank.  The other guy was in the car, not even out of the car, no gun anywhere I saw, but they shot his ass point blank too.

 

Whether right or wrong, you shouldn't be shot dead in your car during a traffic stop nor on the front steps of a quickie mart just for being slightly belligerent.  Step back and look, things are really REALLY fucked up!  I don't understand it.  Are we not training the police well?  I'm mostly happy with my law enforcement in Spokane and Cheney, but the rest of the country has me worried.  And now someone is targeting cops in Texas as vengeance?  This has the potential to get very violent very quickly.  Something that is not good.  And the two idiots vying for the presidency aren't going to help things.

He was shot dead because the police received a call that a man was threatening people with a gun. They showed up and tried to detain him with non-violent methods (tasers) but he resisted so they tackled him.  His right arm was under the front bumper of the car and they couldn't restrain him. He continuously reached fire the pistol in his right side pocket and because they couldn't control him or get control of his weapon they were forced to use deadly force. They initially shot him 3 times, but he continued to try to reach for his gun so they were forced to shoot him again. 

Turns out this asshole was not only on probation and not permitted to carry a firearm, but was also a registered sex offender and had a history of charges from public intimidation, aggravated assault, domestic abuse, etc. 

It's fair to say you 'shouldn't' be killed in front of a convenience store but when you push your luck and act as he did it becomes evident very quickly that you are likely to be killed, and rightfully so. I'd rather Alton be killed while resisting arrest than two officers be killed because they were afraid to use necessary lethal force.

R888's are amazing tires period. One of our customers runs them on his 650whp Global Time Attack G35 and loves them. They hold up to heat really well on a road coarse, so I'd imagine they would do just as great at lower speeds on an Auto-X coarse. 

The big bonus is that they're very affordable in their smaller sizes. Probably the best performance you'll get short of running slicks like the Hoosier A7's, which are intended for Auto-X. 

Just a rough guess, looks like it may have been detonating. running lean, perhaps too much timing? That really sucks man.
