Its a 68 its notched for bags. Rust free and dent free. Body work is all done... truck is STRAIGHT!... needs motor transmission and driveline... I want it real bad but I think I should deal with the projects I already have and I need to get myself a good dailydriver.

I got a Z and I want to lower it but dont want it riding TOO crappy. Has anyone cut there springs on there z? Whats the right way and the wrong way to do it? Would you recomend it? Whats the rate of spring cut to drop?

Ya check it out. 1. getting a motor in 520 2. suicide doors and convertable top on 620 3. planing ka swap into 510 race car 4. helping friend get his 620 running and the fuck outta my yard :D 5. messing with this Z plus figureing out what the hell is going to happen to the old pos Z.

Well I never thought about fixing up a Z, A friend gave me one for free. It runs! Theres hardly any rust, its straight, paints not horrible, and Its fairly complete. I plan on lowering it on some wheels, cleaning it up, getting it running, and making it reliable. Give me ideas of things that would be cool and not too spendy. I have like 5 datsun projects right now and this one deffinantly wont be the main one just something to cruise in, maybe autocross. I need 2 mirrors, both door pannels and some decent front seats. Pics so it did happen :D

Today a lady from bronco motors was at my work. she was in a Nissan cube, she wanted to know if the Datsun was mine. i told her it was. she said that bronco motors was planing on coming out with some new Nissan's to the last meet but they herd the meet was cancelled... so she said they were going to start coming out for our bigger meets... :D

I'm on 90% of the day.... I am responding right now on My break at work... I even got a nice smartphone so i could post all the time from anywhere...

I'm getting a motorless 520 here soon and I need to figure out what I'm doing for a motor. I have a l18 with a l20 length four speed... will everything bolt on directly? What problems might I face? Has anybody done this swap? I figure driveline will be my biggest issue

A friend and I got into an arguement. I have read on here that you have got to unhook a driveline to tow a vehicle on a car Dolly for a long period of time or you risk frying your tranny. He said that only applys to automatics... is he right? If not what's the science behind the whole fried transmission thing?
