  1. I looked at my carb some, i'm suddenly getting a bog when I floor it and a jerk if I try to cruise around slow corners in town. I found that one of the rubber plugs for the vaccum line was rotten. Replacing it help, some. Also my friend found that an old bracket on my hard fuel lines has JUST about cut through into my top radiator hose. Gonna wrap some electrical tape on it for now til I can take it off and grind or cut that off. That whole line could stand being replace with steel and insulated but that'll have to wait.

  2. Hey we didn't say anything about this being the first issue we've ever seen or anything! :D

I was reading a couple back when they were talking about their first days and typing them up and whatnot, that was a cool read too. And yeah if you can post parts of the old ones that'd be cool!

  3. Haha no problem man. The reason I posted this was because I was talking to a couple guys that used to do race cars and drag race pretty heavily (all gm and chevy though) and most of them talked like duals on a daily driver would be more trouble than it would be worth even if it was "for fun".

  4. Currently I have a single weber 32/36. I've never run duals on anything so I was thinking it would be fun to run them on the l20b. I've tuned a few carbs, swapped jets, that sort of thing.

Have any of you that run duals driven a similar dime with just a single enough to compare? Is there quite a bit of seat of the pants dyno difference? Is synchronizing them loads of "fun?"

I guess overall I'm just looking for people who have had both and if it was worth it. This car is currently my daily driver and hoping to get back into some low key autocross someday.

  5. I have a 32/36 with manual choke and no solenoid and mine was doing it when i first got it. I have it timed much better now and with my idle at about 700-800 it doesn't diesel when I turn it off. It DOES however shake like crazy. :D

  6. My speakers were grounding out on the body in back. I didn't want to cut back there so I insulated the holes instead....with duct tape.

Worked on the wipers some more. Managed to get the existing wiring out of the coupler without breaking it. Replacement motor is good (mazda or something) but none of the wiring to power it works. blahhhhhhhhhhhh

  7. My new to me 73. It's already got plenty of rivets in the rear flares already so I've been thinking about the street fighter theme fisch drew up. It's not low enough (at all) or fast enough to do it justice though.

  8. Looks good! That's a seriously louvered hood! Also thanks for all the info on your paint setup too. I've always wanted to try it for fun on a beater like my dime or one of my scouts. Something a little more high tech/better looking than spray paint.
