I use mine for movies at night mostly. With lamps as low as $200 now though...

Been thinking about getting one for some time now. Lamp/bulb lasts you the year?

I won't watch TV, so movies and series is all I use it for. The NEC NP series has an "eco mode" which increases the lamp life to 5k hours. so if it was left running 24/7 it would last for 208 days.
