  1. If anyone is interested in just parts from this I'm willing to do just head/just block/just carbs/just trans/whatever also. Definitely not going to use the engine.
  2. oh, if only you had three of em =/ bump for some beautiful carbs and a good deal
  3. damn I wish these were 0 or neg offset =/
  4. @ Josh V. I'll keep you in mind but for now I'm only looking to sell it as a complete package. I may just search out a 2.8 block with flat tops and do a relatively high comp l28 with the e88 head I have plus the carbs. Wanted to buy an rb20 but if I still have this engine when the funds become less dear I'll probably just build on it instead
  5. Hi, all! I have the l24/4 speed combo I originally bought with my s30 project up for sale. I was going to work with this for a while but have decided to go ahead and RB swap it and build it for e mod autox/time trials. I haven't had the thing running, but was told it ran and drove around fine as it was, other than some smoking. Was told it looked like it just needed some carb work. I also have a used clutch and flywheel for it. Trans shifts through all gears with the shifter that I just got, it's just missing a shift knob. (perfect excuse to buy one of the ratsun knobs!) I'd like to get $500 obo for the combo, I have a lot of other s30 parts that I'm not using as well, so if there's anything else you need thrown in I can probably hook you up. I'll also consider trading for things I'll need for the build, like an rb=] lol, containment seat(s) and unused harnesses, 5 lug swap parts possibly, fuel cell, someone to fab a full cage in the car?, gauges and such, etc etc
  6. yes! Thank you for giving me an idea of what mine's going to sound like when I get to that point=]
  7. if a z unit will fit then I've got you covered, I'm running just buttons for mine to get things off the column
  8. Thank you much, I wish most of you guys weren't all the way on the other side of the states! lol I'm not running stock dash in it so I shouldn't have problems hitting anything. I'm just going to make a fiberglass short dash, drivers side only, with gauges, because I really don't feel like reinstalling the stock dash lol
  9. I'm having problems finding a shifter for my s30 w/ the stock 75 4 speed (as far as I can tell) I've read that you can use a truck shifter from the era and cut it down, which is also turning out to be pretty difficult to track down. So my question is this: can I relatively easily adapt an s13 shifter to fit? what else should fit easily? If I got a truck shifter I was planning to cut it down and possibly bend it a bit (think the shifter in t5-equipped foxbody mustangs) Thanks in advance all!
  10. Alrighty, thank you very much! That's pretty much what I had assumed but wanted to make sure before I went out and started buying lol
  11. I got an l24 with my z car, and I'm ready to start the disassembly and rebuilding process, probably with a cam regrind thrown in there while I have it apart, to wake it up a bit. I haven't been able to figure out what year the engine is from though... Block is e31, head is e88 (iirc) and the intake is e88, but with these carbs on it: So here's the question: How can I tell which year? seems like it's from a 71 to 73 Z, but idk. And are there even gasket differences other than square port/round port differences? and are there square and round port l24's or are they all one design? I'll be doing a little port work while the engine's opened up as well, to help the cam out a little bit. Thank you all for your expertise!
  12. oh yeah. my z jack is a scissor jack=/
  13. i have an s30 factory jack, if they are one and the same, name your price and you shall have it
