Thank you very much for seeing it.

This is a 510 early SSS with vehicle inspection (until January 2020).
The exterior was rust-removed and repainted at a sheet metal paint shop.
This is a genuine Toyota color. (For the time being, British Green)
There doesn't seem to be any serious holey rust.
I think it's a pretty good car body.
In my opinion, I think it's very beautiful.
The following is the content that was replaced and restored.

    All painted by exterior contractor
    14 inch longchamp wheels
    tire tension
    Front coilover (used item)
    Rear suspension, shock coilovers (new)
    stainless muffler
    solex
    Brake master back new
    MSD ignition system
    new water pump
    7 blade fan
    New starter motor
    Alternator new
    radiator hose
    headlight led
    Works bell anti-theft handle
    nardi handle
    Replaced with tachometer digital
Water temperature, oil temperature, voltage, oil pressure meter
    Center console restored
The dash was cracked so I restored it myself (it looks pretty good)
Room lamp does not light up
    I cleaned the interior myself

You can run, turn, and stop as normal.
I don't think there are any problems so far, but please be aware that this is an old car before bidding.
The engine is difficult to start at first, but it will start after about 3 to 6 times.

Please rest assured that this is not a malicious listing.
I have another car that I would like to sell.

This is not a cheap transaction, so please understand the following before bidding.
Please understand that this is an old car, so we do not know when it will break down.
We do not accept any complaints or refunds after purchase.
We sell to those who can repair the malfunction or exterior by themselves, or to those who can hire a contractor.
We do not accept applications for those who are slow in transactions and deposits, or those who feel uneasy about transactions.
We are unable to confirm the actual vehicle.
The item will be delivered after the name has been changed.
Please ask any questions you may have.

    Thank you.

    Thank you for watching.
Since I received the desired amount from the question column, I will respond here.
The amount you offered is not a bad amount.
However, the desired amount was a little higher, so I answered here.
In the end, we will sell it even if it is at that price, so thank you for your patience until the end.
In addition, we will end the sale early if we receive the desired amount, so if you have a desired amount, please use the question column.
    You may bid as is.
I would like to sell it quickly, so I may end the sale early even if the desired price is reached.
    Thank you for your cooperation.

    (Added at 21:00, March 25, 2024)
There was something I forgot to mention, so I would like to add an explanation.
The front and rear bumpers have been replaced with new ones, so there is no rust at all, but there are no holes for installing the overrider.
    Thank you.

  2. More work completed last night.

Rear crossmember, diff, and driveshaft are in.

Trailing arms still need new bearings.

New fuel injector adapters are in - that was a struggle - and fuel rail set in place.  Need yet another custom part now to secure fuel rail to intake.

    Throttle body mounted.

    Front brakes mounted.

Needs to be on the ground and rolling next week!

  3. Wednesday we were going to get the car set down on wheels and tires because we need to roll it out of the garage soon so we can roll the Swamp Thing back in.  But when we started to position the rear crossmember under the car, I noticed that the previously enlarged exhaust pass-through was not enlarged enough for Jeff's giant 3" exhaust.  Well, I guess I know what I'm doing tonight...

    large.03062024swampthing(1).JPG.08452ef2

    Done and done...

    large.03062024swampthing(2).JPG.b6db5491

Jeff even gave it a coat of "rebuild black"

Here is what we need to do before the April race

    large.03062024swampthing(4).JPG.d4d8e2a4

Good thing we have some tires with life still in them.  Our sizes are currently unavailable!

  4. We test fitted a 3D printed under/over radiator mount set.

    large.02132024swampthing(1).JPG.533a10aa

I need to adjust the angle a little and it came out looking much more skookum than I had in mind.  That happens on a computer monitor when drawing parts.  Easy to lose your sense of scale.  At the same time this stuff has to last a race weekend without failure.  We have been joking that rev 2 should have a depression in it so we can use it as a tray to hold nuts and bolts when working on the engine.  : )

    large.02132024swampthing(2).JPG.3352f6ee

Intake pipe seems to fit.  Just need to add another curve and a little length to pick up the cone filter.  Also needs a little boss for the air sensor.

    large.02132024swampthing(4).JPG.4729350c

    large.02132024swampthing(5).JPG.45ce3d45

Jeff and Paul did a great job on the header.  We started playing with the the lower end routing.  It looks like it will get pretty close to the clutch slave cylinder but my main worry was the cross over to the left side and it looks like that won't be an issue at all.

Got the fuel tank mounted as well.  Did we show the pics of the pump mounting rework we did with this one?

    large.02132024swampthing(7).JPG.8327bed9

Still running the rough draft engine mounts

    large.02132024swampthing(8).JPG.250a658b

We know we won't be running this engine for our first race in April but we at least want to get is started/running don't you?!  What do we still need to do?

    large.02132024swampthing(9).JPG.cb7a487c

One thing not on the list is "KEEP JEFF FOCUSED"

    He keeps getting distracted...

Wow!  What a generous wife.  I have been considering one of these, but $$.

We support each other equally.  She's into horses.  Makes car racing seam cheap by comparison.  : )

By the end of January, we had the motor and tranny bolted in place!

Then it was time to start plumbing.  I took on the cooling system.  Here is our radiator and me trying to figure out the mounts, hoses, etc.

    large.02072024swampthing(10).JPG.111a04a

I was planning on wrap around side supports like the Experimental Engineering mounts but this radiator is so wide and we are thinking seriously about opening up the radiator hole in the core support to increase air flow into the radiator so I will probably support from above and below instead.

Need to figure out intake too.  It will need a pretty tight elbow into the throttle body.

  7. Oil pan back from coat and installed on the engine - ready to install in the car.  Note that we are using "The Gobstopper" now instead of the old rally car.  Jeff put that car up for sale and it is no longer part of his fleet.

  8. Still catching up - now in 2024.

My wife got us a new toy for the racecar:

    large.01052024swampthing.JPG.d19a8021228

Looking forward to setting this up and playing with it at the track day preceding our next race in April.

We got a little distracted for a minute.  Jeff found a guy anchored in Dastun racing history with some spare clutch plates for our R190LSD.

    large.01122024swampthing(1).JPG.6631a5f0

Unfortunately they turned out to be mislabeled.  We *may* be able to modify them to fit with a little work but we realized that rebuilding a broken LSD should be lower on our priority list than this K-swap we are in the middle of.  So it was back to the task at hand.

Jeff milled us some shim stock:

    large.01122024swampthing(3).JPG.571137c2

    large.01122024swampthing(2).JPG.08389c05

Okay, not really.  It reminded me of the Loony Tunes cartoon where they make a single toothpick out of a tree.  : )  This was actually just a byproduct of milling a steel bar to reinforce the JBC crossmember we hacked up for oil pan clearance.

  9. More work on the oil pan - now with timing chain baffle installed:

    Everything looked mucho perfecto!

    large.12062023swampthing(5).JPG.5f49f423

Before mounting - we sent the pan home with our resident parts washing expert for a deep clean and paint.  Stay tuned!

  10. We have it on good authority that a K24 timing chain makes for a very efficient oil pump and will suck all the oil out of the sump in no time flat so after much deliberation and research, we decided to put a baffle between the main sump and the chain to reduce the likelihood of this happening.

We had to sacrifice an oil pan to research.  Thank you for your sacrifice oil pan!

    large.11292023swampthing(16).JPG.a486f8e

Those Honda guys packed allot of stuff in there for sure!

    large.11292023swampthing(17).JPG.1d8862e

Here you can see the trial baffle taped in place.

    large.11292023swampthing(18).JPG.534114a

Meanwhile, on the "keeper" oil pan, we cut out the notch for the crossmember and welded in a sheet metal shelf to keep the oil in the motor where it belongs.

  11. Just before Halloween we got to "dress up" the motor by adding the fancy new flywheel and transmission adapter.

    large.10252023swampthing(2).JPG.bce0055f

I'm not sure I love the way the pilot bushing adapter just floats but I was too chicken to glue it in place or make some other kind of secondary bushing to constrain it axially.

    large.10252023swampthing(3).JPG.a967fb20

We're going to have to trust Collins Adapters here and just use their kit as delivered.

There is an awful lot going on up there in that K24 head!

  12. A lot of time has passed since September and we've been meeting weekly - progressing the K24 swap.  "It'll bolt right in" Jeff says...  Right...

One of the first steps was digitizing our quick and dirty motor mounts to use as the basis for a "real" design.

    large.09272023swampthing(2).JPG.0e374d53

    large.09272023swampthing(4).JPG.6bbc110c

    large.09272023swampthing(3).JPG.7b489ec6

This was not easy with purely conventional inspection tools but I was able to make a good start.

I also made a cardboard radiator so we could test fit and confirm the radiator I selected would work.

    large.09272023swampthing(1).JPG.78f17b45

    It did!

So in October we had another piece to the puzzle.
