  1. They are only bad if you dont know how to drive one!!!
  2. I am sorry for not replying sooner. I am still a newby to ratsun. I just pulled my detroit locker from my truck. It is a direct bolt in. The drop outis an aluminim carrier with a detroit locker with 4.625 ring and pinion mounted. The gears are noisy. They were not set up correct. The carrier and locker are fine. It is a 29 spline locker which fits my 1976 620 truck. My research says it is an Detriot #187S-21A or a NISMO #M-99996-T3011. I have read threads that say this fits the H190 diff.
  3. I need a 4.37 ratio rear end drop out? Is yours for sale?
  4. If all specs measure the same you should be fine. I machined down a L20 flywheel to less than half its weight once. It was for a circle track car running alcohol. It alows the engine to rev up much faster but you will loose torque.
  5. I have an engine in southern Oregon. Sell long block or short block. Pop up pistons so needs good fuel or change pistons. Maybe 100 miles on engine. Head is all new with stage 1 cam, heavy springs, ported.
  6. I have one but needs high grade fuel. Rebuilt with high compression pistons, head all new with stage 1 cam, ported int and exh, runs strong, maybe 100 hours on it . Built for dirt track, tried in street truck then pulled out. Stored in shop.
  7. Email me 1976 620 std cab L20 engine with automatic, detroit locker with 4.6-4.7 ratio gears (not stock), weber carb, header, K&N filter NEW: radiatio, bench seat, alternator, regulator, fuel pump, brakes (drums, whl cyl's, hoses, etc), starter all within the past 2 years. trani serviced last year +/-. Located in Central Point, OR. Would like $1600 right front fender needs replacing, left front was replaced. send email for photos
  8. I am in southern Oregon. I will try to check this weekend on the gears in it. I know they are lower than stock autos. my stock dropout was lifted from me. I want to go back to stock. Based on a rotation check, the gears are 4.6 to 4.7 ratio.
  9. yeh like it says I am a newbie to forums and am trying to learn how th use this so bear with me.

  10. I am in southern Oregon. I will try to check the current ratio this weekend.

  11. So I have a76 620 with a Detroit in it with std trani gears and an aluminum carrier. The truck is a factory automatic. I have driven this truck for about 15 years this way. My son was using it for school and the Detroit sent him into a guard rail. Si I am interested in finding a open diff dropout with automatic gear ratio. I would consider some kind of trade??
