ggzilla
Is there anything to keep the throttle cable pulled backYES, what exactly that is depends on which Datsun you have, and which carburetor you have. Datsun 1200 with stock Hitachi carburetor has a spring on carburetor, from the linkage to a bracket, that causes it to return to idle when you let your foot up. Or where you asking about something else? throttle cable pulled back so it stays running?Stays running? If the throttle cable is pulled back it makes it run slower...idle. Quote Link to comment
Roman Tasel
I have a down draft 2bl hitachi on my 74 620. i saw an extra screw on my throttle.. Maybe thats the screw that goes into the bracket you were talking about to keep the throttle pulled back. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Man, you need to go to the library and get a Datsun repair manual. It will show what the adjustments are for. I can't quite make out what you are asking. Pictures tell a 1000 stories, and the repair manual will have some photos and diagrams. Quote Link to comment
