pidge Posted July 18 Report Share Posted July 18 1969 521 with J13……I’ve searched, but they were old posts I was reading regarding the brake and clutch fluid and wanna get some up to date info. Is it okay to use DOT3 in both the clutch and brake reservoirs or better to go with DOT4? Can I get some opinions on this who’ve gone thru this. I’ve got small leaks somewhere on both systems and gonna start digging into the issue, but wanna get the fluid right. Thanks Pidge Quote Link to comment
mainer311 Posted July 18 Report Share Posted July 18 DOT 3 and 4 are compatible, but DOT4 has higher wet and dry boiling points, so it’s a bit better. What would be even better than that is 5.1, but it’s not necessary. 1 Quote Link to comment
