rharm78
Looking for a compatible flex plate for my 620. Would i be able to use one from a 6 cylinder? Found this on eBay. Thanks in advance https://www.ebay.com/itm/392400078582 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Link doesn't work For your '78? Then any 6 bolt hole L series flex plate from another L20B, L24, L26 or L28 will work. Quote Link to comment
rharm78
Mike, sorry the link doesn’t work. It’s a link for an 82’ maxima flex plate. It says 2.4l and it’s a 6 bolt crank. As long as the ring gear is the same I should be good right? I’ll try the link again here : https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-1982-Nissan-Maxima-Flex-Plate-37141FK-2-4L-6-Cyl/392400078582?pageci=ae82c317-8722-4619-8c1a-301eadc17435 Quote Link to comment
rharm78
And yes for my 78’ 620 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I didn't mention the L24 in the Maxima for good reason. On the early Maxima '81 model yea,r build dates 07 '80 through 06 '81 a regular 3 speed torque converter was used and this will be the same as all earlier 6 bolt flex plates. However from 07 '81 through 06 '82 build dates ('82 model year) a locking torque converter was used and they are much differently shaped. Locking TC flex plate on left and regular 3 speed on right. If the one you are looking for IS from an '82 build date, it will be the one on the left. What you want is the flat one on the right. Ask for a picture of it and see. Quote Link to comment
