dakotahchore
Put in new motor yesterday and she started up, ran and idles but had power loss, and hesitation. Motor was pulled from running 240sx and timing and all that wasn't touched. Thought it was TPS voltage or something, wrapped it up. Went to check it out today and found no spark coming off the coil after repeated attempts at starting. Coil is getting 12V and the ground isnt measuring any voltage... any ideas? Engine bay grounds are the same as they always were, and my first KA ran fine with them. Quote Link to comment
bonvo
well since the coil isnt firing and that was probably not taken from the donor i would say coil Quote Link to comment
dakotahchore
Coil was from my first running KA24 swap. Never had any issues with it... Is there an easy way to test my coil before I waste money on parts? Quote Link to comment

TENDRIL
yea NP, not sure its the quickest or easiest, but the only way to properly "test" it  Quote Link to comment
dakotahchore
Seems like it's bad, I took it off the coil and no matter where I put my leads or what ohm setting I got infinity across the board... seems like I found the problem. Quote Link to comment
