sparkles
I have a 73' 620 with a 74' carb, I got the carb back from the shop ready to go, but I am having a heck of a time figuring out where the vacuum lines go. Any help would be hugely appreciated!!! There are three hook up spots, two on the side near the engine and one on the BCDD. And one line coming off the distributor. (I have pictures, but not sure how to post them. First post woohoo!) Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Distributor vacuum advance connects to the front most connection on the carb. The rear most goes to the ERG on the '74 engine but your '73 won't have this. Just cap it off. The '74 carb is for a larger L18 engine than your L16. Quote Link to comment
sparkles
Thank you thank you thank you!! The last piece of the puzzle is the bcdd and I'm set, I believe the 73 is electrical, but this one is vacuum! Thanks a million! Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The '73 has a speed switch inside the speedometer that shuts off the BCDD below 10 MPH. The '74 I don't know. Perhaps it resets automatically. If the idle fails to drop back to normal the BCDD sensitivity could be adjusted... at least the later ones could. Quote Link to comment
