datzenmike Posted April 30, 2014 Report Share Posted April 30, 2014 The block for the 240sx is different and so is the starter and it will not bolt up to any transmission without it. Any Z series starter or the KA starter from a Hardbody block will work. L series starters will also work, including those from a 280z and zx (non turbo) and L24E Maxima. Try to get gear reduction if possible. I've run a Maxima starter on my Z24 engine. You can uses any clutch you wish but the Z22 came with a 225mm clutch. A Z24 flywheel is 240mm and will also work if you get the matching clutch, PP and release collar length Quote Link to comment
