mulletish Posted April 3, 2014 Report Share Posted April 3, 2014 Alright fellas, I've been in contact with a brake cable manufacturer here in the U.S.A. that is going to make up the front parking brake cable for the 79 620 kingcab i'm working on. Since I've been talking to them about it, if they have the correct parts for the cable, they are going to put the cable into production and make it available for everyone!! I need some help to determine what all this cable might fit. I'm guessing that the long bed and kingcab would use the same cable, but what years are we looking at? yello620 Posted April 6, 2014 Report Share Posted April 6, 2014 Curious why you are not just ordering one from Rockauto? They list a Dorman cable, part #C93156. It is listed to fit 74-79 620 trucks. That part number should translate to a Raybestos BC93156. They also list rear cables to be different from shortbed to longbed. That would make me think that the front cable is the same for all trucks. Quote Link to comment
mulletish Posted April 6, 2014 Author Report Share Posted April 6, 2014 I did order one from rockauto thinking the same thing. It is the dorman c93156 which is totally the wrong cable. It is too short and the fulcrum end is completely different. Which reminds me i need to send that back. The long rear cables they show are correct though. Quote Link to comment
