ggzilla
Get a carb from National Carburetors, part # DAT-815 or DAT-814. The stock carb flows more air than a 32/36 and you can jet it for performance too. 1 Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Put your foot down and let it rev to 4800 rpm to get the most power out of the Z24. Quote Link to comment
Dirttrack510
ok thx man for the help this is my first nissan 720 but i like it and wanna do it right any suggestions on wut i can do to get more power out of my motor and trans It's just like any other engine build. Speed is just a matter of money... How fast do ya wanna go? Sound familiar? Cam swap is fairly easy and ISKY Cams can regrind your factory cam or cams to do what ever your looking to do. Or they can sell you new ones. Dual carbs are an option, but costly, and you gotta tune em' properly. Your best bet is to do what we all did. Read some build threads, check out the engine section, and do some research. The possibilities are almost endless with what you can do, bigger valves, bigger cams, bigger pistons/higher compression, etc. etc. To give you an idea, here's a link to my first complete Datsun Race Engine build. I spent about $2000 on this with machine work, parts and shipping, etc. It's a different motor than yours, but you'll get the idea. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/44530-project-kaboom-l16-grenade-engine-build/ 1 Quote Link to comment
