ANDREW5373
hello im andrew i have a 210(b310) with a 1.2 mounted up to a 56a 4speed...after having transmision rebuilt and new clutch installed im having issues with the clutch no disengaging. so i bought a new mastercylinder and slave cylinder and ajusted both to the outter most position so that it had the most throw but still wont relese....but it was working properly before...i am buying a oem throw out bearing collar and bearing and fork and fork spring and pivot ball that the fork piviots on...is there somthing im missing why wouldnt the clutch kit throw out bearing for the 56a transmisiion not work...i understand the diffrent lenghts and the one that came in the aftermarket kit was the short one... torqued
Put the short one back in and see if that resolves your issue. Gotta remember the movement required to go from engaged to disengaged is very minimal. Less than you would imagine if you were not aware Quote Link to comment
ANDREW5373
i have the short one in my vehicle now tho Quote Link to comment
torqued
Arh yes, Sorry i meant the long one, So from my understanding.( I am tired and not thinking 100%) Old one is long, New supplied one is short. You have short one fitted and to compensate for the length you have maxed out the adjustment? First check the movement of the clutch throw out arm. If this is moving an expected distance but clutch still not working as intended. Put the original bearing in/Buy the correct bearing. Cheers Quote Link to comment
ANDREW5373
the person who rebuilt my transmission threw the old throw out bearing away...so i dont have a referance guide...the one that came in the clutch kit for my car is the short one... Quote Link to comment
ANDREW5373
yes that is correct...what im worried about is the dealer states all the collars has superseeded to one part number ...and the dealer cant tell me if its long or short. does anyone know of part number for a long throwout bearing. torqued
I havnt read this in complete depth, But looks like it might answer your question relating to bearing lengths http://desertdatsuns.freeforums.org/throw-out-bearing-collar-t2635.html Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
A good mechanic will compare the new parts to the old and not throw away parts that are different lengths. So either he made a mistake or the collars were the same. Why not go back to that guy and ask him to adjust the clutch? 1 Quote Link to comment
dr.feltersnatch
i assume it was working or else you wouldnt have paid the mechanic. how long ago did you have it done? if recent,TAKE IT BACK!!!!! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
30501-H5000 short 30501-H7500 standard length Both still listed in the 2013 Nissan catalog Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Also if you swapped in a thicker flywheel, that causes problems with the throwout bearing. Quote Link to comment
ANDREW5373
ok so i just got my throw out bearing sleeve from nissan the new one is the 30501-h7500 but it seems shorter than my "aftermarket"one.. Quote Link to comment
