'77 620 Side Mirrors

So I am still in the market for some door mounted side mirrors.

I checked out some '66 Fod Mustang side mirrors but "Distance between center of mounting holes is 4.25" & I measured my mounting holes & I am coming back with 1 3/4".

Does any one know if I measured correctly or know what the distance is supposed to be STOCK?

Here is a photo of the mustang mirrors: $%28KGrHqRHJD%21FCb%29trh%28PBQoBy%29Y1V

Those mustang mirrors look like they'd fit my existing holes

I'm away from my truck (can t measure) but 1.75" seems narrow for most mirrors.

You could just make a new hole and cover the middle hole with the rubber pad of the new mirror. Use tape on the paint when you're drilling!

Yours look pretty much the same as mine.

Yeah I thought about just covering them over with the rubber mounting pad just haven't had the heart to drill into my doors yet.

I am sure that is what will be done though.

Thanks for the reply!
