He said it's a truck 5 speed with a Z tail housing. I've looked at tons of pics, and read Mike's DQ article. My educated guess is an FS5W71B with a different tail housing. datsunaholic Posted August 26, 2013 Report Share Posted August 26, 2013 No, it's just a FS5W71B with a clean tail housing. Both halves are FS5W71B parts. The double ears say it's an early 71B (280Z or truck, or VERY early 280ZX) and the front half is L-series, so truck or Z or ZX. Mike seems to be better at being able to pinpoint the actual application, year, date, hour, minute, which casting blank, and the name of the QC inspector. I kid. Quote Link to comment
