PDX Matt
Hey guys, I'm looking for a reputable shop or member that can install a new driveshaft carrier support bearing on my '76 620. Car drives but I wouldn't feel comfortable taking it out on the road (I removed the bracket from around the bearing). If a member would want to help me I would be glad to pay obviously and even help out with the install. I would appreciate any info or leads on good mechanics. Thanks guys! Will also gladly pay in pizza and beer for the help. I am living at a rental house with limited access to tools and equipment otherwise I would try to tackle this myself. 1 Quote Link to comment
Dat Lurka
Now remove the 4 12mm bolts at the end of the driveshaft and pull it out of the trans. Remove old bearing, install new. Replace shaft and bolt down bracket. Quote Link to comment
PDX Matt
I actually just got done working on it. I decided to follow some other members advice and stuff in a new thing to replace the old rubber. Pics soon. 1 Quote Link to comment
Dat Lurka
I used a rolled strip of rubber from a bed mat Quote Link to comment
PDX Matt
I forgot to post it in here but here's a link to my post in my truck thread about repairing the carrier bearing cushion. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/56664-new-datsun-owner-1976-620/?p=957618 Quote Link to comment
