riot936
What brand wheels are these? How much are they worth? 16x9.5 +27 On the back it says "made in japan S.W." Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Those could be Autostrada Pirellis or maybe Riken BBSs. There are no addition cast stamps on the inside of the wheels... nothing near the hub? Quote Link to comment
riot936
Nope but I did find this under the one center cap they came with. Epsilon?? I googled the s.w. and it came up as southern ways/epsilon. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Ugh How did I forget Southern Ways... Thats what they are. I have failed in my wheel knowledge :( Quote Link to comment
riot936
Thanks holmes, what are they worth in that condition? Are center caps and wheel barrels available?? Quote Link to comment
Tristin
If they are all like that, maybe something like $300-$400... not anything uber rare or desired. Its nice that they are 16s, but they may be smaller barrels with step-up lips so larger brakes may be an issue. Caps may be easier to find, but I dont think actual barrels are available. Im sure if you went to a refinisher, they can source something for you. Quote Link to comment
riot936
Word, I payed $100 for all 4. They are 20 hole so i wonder if bbs' s will work? Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Im not the be-all for mesh wheels (not my style) so I may have incorrectly quoted a price. But it seems like 16in meshes would be nice for people that would want them... Quote Link to comment
Radim
Yep, Southern Ways Epsilon..... made by WEDS actually.Older BBS barrels might work (E78) but I doubt it.There are different size of Epsilon faces you can interchange barrels from between different size and width Epsilon as long as it's the same face size, so if you buy another set to scavange for barrels and made wider, bigger, or smaller, measure the faces. (15-16... 15-16... 14-15.... 13-14.... ect)They aren't rare, came as an option on BMWs, and most 80s-90s Japanese Sports cars, I just sold a 16x7 5x114 set with tires for 350, They'll sell anywhere from 250-1000 (Wider sets and 4 lug sets sell for a lot more)The centercaps are EXTREMELY rare, and could fetch more than an actual set of wheels.....Let me know if you decide to sell the wheels later down the road, wouldn't mind the back-halves. (Complete of course) Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Well that shows how much I know about mesh... quote was close, center cap data not so much. Quote Link to comment
riot936
Well shit they only came with one centercap!!!! They will probably be for sale soon if I can't find barrels. I really wish I could find someone to swap barrels with. Thank s for the help guys!! Radim pm me an offer. Quote Link to comment
