banzai510(hainz)
interior lights? you mean Dome light? thats the common fuse it also powers the ddor buzzer(never seen one work) and the cig lighter circut. High beam? So low beam works? if yes then do you have a after market steering wheel?. Ussally there is a little pc of meatal that pop out and grounds the relay to switch over to a double ground to power both set of lights. Try reseating the relay behind the strut by the firewall. One will hear a click if it works. Most times when they go bad is when to HIGH beams one looses all the lights. then its the relay. soemtimes clean and reseat the plugs at the fuse box also. but since you said you dont have HIGHs I assume you got LOWS and the fuses are good. olddatsuns.com read everything there 1 Quote Link to comment
Datsunrider71
Okay I have to check that out for the Cabin light... Yeah low Beams work and the lil Copper piece is broken but I made it so it can Touch and when i Switch it I hear a clicking noise from the relay but The low beams shut off and none of the Headlamps work Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
Ok. get a made in China test tight. has to be made in China!!!!!! now ground one and and take the poiny end and with lights OFF yes OFF. probe the low beam lamps. all 3 connection will light the test light. Now probe the highs. Both tabs will light up. if YES then your datsun 510 wireing is correct and hasnt been fucked with. Now you say the tab is broken that grounds the relay. amd you bypassed it by doing a Kabuki Dance. To me the relay when it switches in side the contacks most likely are corroded. if one is good one can take the relay Can apart and light file or sanpaper the centacks till its clean and should work. What I have seen there was 2 relay stlyes on the after 70yr model 510s. relay with a connector(wire) and 1 with just a realy pluggin into the connector plug. maybe just reseat the plug or wiggle it to clean soem corrosion and it might get it fixed.
