Vitamin Pepsi Posted December 19, 2012 Report Share Posted December 19, 2012 Howdy folks. When I bought my 280z it was missing the highbeam switch for the headlights. When I turn the lights on, there's a light on the dash, which I assume means the highbeams are always on? I have no way to tell. Anyway, I don't know where to look. I'd like to install a simple switch to change between highbeams and lowbeams but I have no idea where to even start looking. Any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla Posted December 19, 2012 Report Share Posted December 19, 2012 Sure there are ways to tell: 1. Get out and look. Highbeams go straight ahead, low beams point slightly down 2. Get out your Z owner's manual and it will tell you exactly what the light you see means 3. Stick a plastic rod in the hole in the side of the steering column and flip the switch back towards you. If it only flips forward, then it was already on low beams. Quote Link to comment
