DaBlist
I see these Weber 32/36 new on ebay cheap and wonder if they are a good idea for a A12 with an Auto trans or are they to big? I'm only considering it because I'm having problems with my stock Hitachi DCH-306 that several good tear downs, cleanings and a gasket kit haven't resolved. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Hitachi 306 is a better carburetor, but after 40 years ....most common problem is the power valve rod sticks. Try rebuilding a 40 year old Weber 32/36 (yes they made them in 1972) Too big? Yes, but it works OK depending on the jetting. The 32/36 kit has appropriate jetting but is on the rich side. Or you can buy a new Hitachi-clone for about $250. Quote Link to comment
