Wiring a Sunpro Temp & Oil Gauge

So when I bought my truck, none of the gauges were working. I dropped the gas tank and installed a Sunpro fuel sender and gauge (which read 3/4 full when full & 1/4 full when empty but that's another thread) :-) I need to hook up the Temp and Oil gauges but don't know where on the engine block they go. Can anyone give me a hand? Thanks in advanced!

Try to stick the water temp in the thermostat housing.

did 83 still come with Ls (L20B)?

If it's a Z series, im not exactly sure where you can put it, since im not too familiar with them, but im sure the original temp sending unit location would work.

A word of caution, when putting the temp probe in my thermostat, none of the fittings provided fit the thermostat, on top of that, the probe wouldn't seal against the fitting.

So I went to Home Depot and bought 5/16 NPT female to male and drilled it out to fit the probe.. and problem solved.
