wht is the right set up?

I wanted to know what was the right set up for the clutch slave and clutch master cylinder.

 

my clutch master cylinder is 5/8 and the clutch slave is 3/4 is that right.

The right set-up depends on your car. Which year is your 510 wagon? Is it the stock transmission?

it has a L18 with a 5 speed 280z tran.

What year is your 510? Does it have the early or late pedal setup?

I think all 510s used a 5/8 master and 3/4 slave.

but more important is the length of the rods.

 

Are you having troubles with your clutch?

The trick to adjusting them:

1. Under the car, remove the spring on the slave, and push it back. Adjust for 8mm play. Put spring back on

2. Under the dash, adjust pedal height to spec.

3. Under the dash, adjust cylinder rod to spec.

Usually you don't have to do #3, but check it to see if it is correct.

the problem is that the clutch slave is warn out and is leaking from the inside of it. its a 72 that use to have an automatic. and the pedals dont know that there are 2 types. here is a pic of it.

Don't mess with rebuilding, just buy a new one.
