Kramer1981
Ok I finally got a functioning alternator....that was oe for Datsun. After spending most of the afternoon at the junkyard tracing wires and such on a 720, I got frustrated and paid 5 bucks for a gm alternator... got home and looked at the gm alternator....and I was too cheap to buy a different belt to make it work, I am a cheapskate. its ok, ill shelf the gm alternator. found a chilton manual in the back of the shop and studied the wiring diagrams in it.... googled hitachi alt. wiring SO HERE IS HOW TO DO IT EASILY if your dash light works, awesome, hook the light wire to the bottom of the T connector. if it dont, like mine, hook the bottom of the T connector to a switched 12v source....period....thats it showing 14.2 at idle...hope this helps....easy as a gm alt, just wires a little different.
