Jasper
My front right and rear left wheel cylinders were leaking, so I bought 4 new wheel cylinders to replace them all. I figured if 2 were leaking, the others were probably due. Changed the right front with no problems, other than having to pound the old one out with a BFH. I get the drivers side front one off with the same method, and... ...when I went to tighten down the nut that holds the wheel cylinder in place, the threaded rod thingy pulled out of the wheel cylinder. Seems like the end of it broke off or something, although I'm not sure how. I had to use a giant cheater bar to get the nut off of the old wheel cylinder. I had only started to get the new nut snug with 1 arm before it broke. Currently trying a rigged fix. Put some JB weld in the hole, and pounded the threaded rod back into it with a hammer. I can't use the old one because I mushroomed the shit out of the threads. Has anyone had this happen before?
