Wiring up an aftermarket cd player?

So I recently got a 1971 510 2 door and Im wanting to put an aftermarket cd player in it. The guy who had the car before me had a cd player in it but he wired it all jank with a kill switch and some really shitty looking wire. I want to have the cd player come on when I start the car instead of having a kill switch, after looking at some wiring diagrams Im assuming that I tap into the blue wire that comes off the blower motor, run my speaker wire from the cd player to the speakers, and then make my own ground. If I wire it like this will the cd player come on when I start the car and turn off when the car is off and not drain the battery.

Find the wire that supplied power to the stock radio????

No doubt the aftermaket CD player will have a secondary power source..??..which will go directly to the 'batt', fused of course.

That 2nd hot wire keeps power at the player for clock....presets...etc....and probably won't work if not installed

Maybe :D
