JCR
1976 datsun 620 This was my 1st welder and my 1st time doing ANY kind of body work when I get to a point where I am not welding, grinding, repeat I will try using bondo I have decided that the next move to make everything easier is to pull the bed off Am I right in understanding that on the 76 the fuel tank is attached to the bed and not the frame rail?? Stay tuned in I am sure that there is going to be plenty of questions as I dig into the truck further and further Quote Link to comment
pharouh
Yes the tank is attached to the bed on your truck. It was on the later 78s when they moved it to the frame. The bed bolts can be a bitch to get loose. there's been several posts about that. Do a search. why do you need to remove it? Oh yeah, your gas tank bolts will probably snap off . Take your time and soak them with PB blaster or Liquid Wrench. Quote Link to comment
