RaptorReed
Stacks! Thought I might be able to run rod linkage, but looks like it will be a cable conversion. Quote Link to comment
RaptorReed
So I will have a Redline Triple linkage setup for sale as soon as it arrives on Tuesday lol, made for a Z car. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
So I will have a Redline Triple linkage setup for sale as soon as it arrives on Tuesday lol, made for a Z car. As soon as that Z part is installed you can be a real member here instead of the wannabe you have been ;) Quote Link to comment
RaptorReed
Can't install it, mocked up my carbs and manifold, gotta swap to a cable linkage :P. Quote Link to comment

RaptorReed
Someone once said my wagon ran fine, it clearly had issues. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Im scared to take the head off my L16 to see what the valves look like. Im sure they are just as bad as that... cant wait to get my other block swapped in. Quote Link to comment
RaptorReed
^ My reason for concern on that motor was correct, however I'm glad the head isn't cracked nor is it a Jet valve head. Gotta order up some VW valves and then get some head work done. Quote Link to comment
RaptorReed
Installed one Recaro seat, got one more to do! Gotta love Mitsu sometimes, didn't need to make a block off plate for the fuel pump location on the g52b head, the later Tbi/fuel injected setups have a factory blockoff plate and bolts! RaptorReed
Time to stab the motor and trans tonight! Still got to wait on the head, but I can put the car pretty much back together now anyway. Quote Link to comment
dnicle
I work at Mitsubishi Motors Headquarter in Cypress, CA and we are hosting Mod (Mitsubishi Owner Day) on 7/13 and would love to see some classic Mitsu at the event. love that coupe! Quote Link to comment
RaptorReed
Maybe next year lol I'll make it out to MOD with one of my cars, but this year won't happen. I can't afford the drive down, I'm probably working that weekend, and the wagon will still be needing a couple things lol. Coupe is still in early stages of restoration/modifications/retrofitting :). I'm sure you will still see some Classic Mitsu with Sapporo/challengers, maybe a few Colt Galant/Lancers as well. There's a few Lancer EX1800 GSRs hiding out up here in WA/OR too ;). RaptorReed
Parts left to get Cable Linkage kit Pull Choke 5spd trans mount (4spd one is not only weathered, but also a little too narrow per the stud holes) New 4spd clutch cable (5spd one I got was too long, may have been a truck?) Header Timing chain guides Thermostat Plumb fuel lines and hook up fuel pump. Motor and trans are installed, so we were able to pull the car outside where I can finish her up! Got the driveshaft to bolt in, trim the shifter area just a tiny bit, install passenger seat. Quote Link to comment
Komeuppance
Pull Choke Careful, David Carradine supposedly went out that way... -Robert Quote Link to comment
RaptorReed
Driveshaft installed only a few things left before it runs. Quote Link to comment
RaptorReed
Head arrived today! So...by tomorow afternoon I'll have it timed and buttoned up, carbs mounted and pretty much back together minus a couple things. Quote Link to comment
Komeuppance
And then time for burnouts. -Robert Quote Link to comment
RaptorReed
Maybe after I get that rear axle from shaun's old 74 GT lol. Quote Link to comment
RaptorReed
be gone rust! However rethinking this battery tray area...would require new steel cut and welded in, so we just coated it with rust converter after cleaning up and then I'll paint it. Going to get one of those small Odyssey batteries and adapt a 1g dsm tray to suit! Realized I forgot the water pump pulley after I put the fan on and the rear valve cover bolt decided to be a bitch and strip itself somehow for some ungrateful reason, now I get to cut the bolt and figure out the issues.
