72' 510 Wagon with Built L20b $2000 obo

Recommended Posts

I AM POSTING THIS FOR A FRIEND, SEND HIM A TEXT OR CALL HIM.

I will add the motor was built in the 80's by the previous owner and the guy owned a Datsun shop and did a really good job, I myself pulled the motor apart when we were getting it running to replace the headgasket, My friend has all the paperwork that includes the work done on the motor and even the Dealership paperwork! The inside of the block had all the casting flash removed and is very clean it has .50?? oversized dished pistons the deck has been milled slightly and the head has been shaved. It has a Norris cam, not sure on the specs but it lopes at idle and pulls all the way to 7000rpm, Just as fast as my 260z with a L28. biggrin.gif There is some extra parts to go with it, I think there is a Rear bumper, Drivers side fender, 200mm Flywheel, and some interior bits. The car is in my driveway so if you want any more pictures ask me and I can get some. We a;so just replaced the bushings in the throttle shafts in the carbs.

Ask my buddy mike if you have any more questions.

I am selling a 1972 datsun 510 wagon. Has a rebuilt race spec l20b motor which includes crank balanced to 6500rpm, bored, cammed, dual Roadster SU carbs, long tube headers, and a W53 Open chambered head port matched to the Roadster intake and polished also shaved for about a 8.9to1 comp ratio. The tranmission is a 5 speed out of a 69 roadster, which works but needs to be rebuilt, so no quick shifting. Brand new 240mm flywheel, clutch. The front suspension is from an 85 nissan 200sx with the 200sx brakes with new pads and a brand new 7/8 brake master and Brand new Clutch slave Master/cylinder. The springs have been cut in the front and 3 inch lowering blocks on the rear, rides very stiff for being on the bump stops, but looks very good. Needs a new fuse box, all the lights work, but has a few electrical problems in the fuse box. All the glass is clean and no cracks. Now there is rust on the car, on the right side the whole rocker panel needs to be replaced, the left side needs some fender repairs, and some rocker panel repairs. The floor pan needs to be repaired, but that should be fixed by the time i sell. The doors are good some with dents but fixable.Have all the seats with the car in ok shape one is ripped and the rest dirty. No carpet in the car. Still have the door panels. Theres only 1 crack in the dash, modified toyota tach still works, speedometer works, just have to replace a cable. The car does run and drive, i drove it back and forth to work for some time, then got my hands on a mustang so i can not afford both cars now. The brake calipers well be replaced as well , and rear brake lines. New tires, on classic amercain racing wheels 13 inch. Like i said it is a project car but very close to being an everyday driver, have problems getting the carbs tuned, and it does smoke caused from the valve seats and the big cam. If anyone is interested your more then welcome to call or text Michael at 719-659-5223. The price is negotiable but no low balls well be accepted. Will accept a trade for a running driving 90s honda civic hatchback. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

The car has been lowered since these pictures, about 3 Inches in the rear and about the same in the front. Tires are brand new as well and barely have 200miles on them.

AS OF NOW THE WAGON IS GOING TO BE TRADED FOR A 1977 TOYOTA CELICA LIFTBACK, IF THE TRADE FALLS THROUGH BOB3 IS THE FIRST IN LINE TO COME TAKE A LOOK.

Thanks, everyone for the comments and the time, The rust is in the process of being repaired and the brakes will be fixed and the car made driveable before traded, so if the trade doesn't go through, the car will be in better condition.
