rims and such

Recommended Posts

I have a 72 510 sedan with full troy ermish suspension on 510 front struts, flares up front and looking to roll or somehow make flares for the rear....would 15x8 with 0 offset rims work or would i need to do furthermore modifications? Or maybe run a low pprofile tire on a 16x8 with 0 offset.....suggestions are welcome and info is appreciated..

Thanks,

Ben

As far as your flare situation is concerned are you talking about a 2 or 4 door sedan?

I know people can fit 8s on their 510s without flaring (w/ rolling), but I'm not sure how, because my 7s fill out the back quite a bit, and need to roll the fender already.

Up front 15x8 +0s should fit great (w/ the flares), but you'll have more wiggle room if you're running 280zx struts.

would this be a good size to run?...would spacers be needed with a +4 offset?

That sounds pretty good. Are you running 510 or 280zx struts? I doubt you'll need spacers. But with 510 struts you may have some wheel and tire sticking out past the fender.

I just saw in GRM the other day that Rota is coming out with a replica of Watanabes, not the RBs which are a Panasport clone. I don't see it on their site, but if you're like me and like Wats better than Panasports, you might look into that.
