ggzilla Posted January 6, 2012 Report Share Posted January 6, 2012 Pertronix 1741 fits most HITACHI points ignition through 1973. Including J13/J15, L16, A12, and others. Some guys have found they don't fit their distributor depending on which one they have, but will with slight modifications. If yours is stamped D40 or D41 it should fit. I have heard that some guys have fitted the guts from mid-80s Nissan distributors to it. Don't have any details. I know the Hitachis went to a larger diameter distributor starting about 1974 (Hitachi D4 series). Link to comment
