280zx struts

Looking to upgrade the front struts/brakes on my 1200. After doing some research, I have narrowed my choice to 2 options, 280zx conversion or modified 1200 setup. This is what I think of the choices.

280zx

-pro: better brakes

more optons for inserts

will (supposedly) lower front 2" or so without short stoking

reduces (?) track width

-con: have to buy assemblies

probably will need brakes rebuilt

need to swap 1200 spring perch or use coilovers to fit in strut tower

need to use 210 (or A10) lower arms/ball joints/TC rods

Stock

-pro: I have them and don't need to swap suspension parts to use them.

-con: need to short stroke to get better suspension travel when lowered

needs better brakes (thinking of using Mike's kit)

I don't consider coilovers an issue with either setup, as I like having the option of different spring rates. My main question would be is the extra cost/effort of the zx swap worth it for a street driven car that might see an occasonal autox? I figure the coilovers are a wash, as I would be doing that to both most likely, as too the brakes (cost to rebuilt the zx brakes vs using Mike's kit) Short stroking the 1200 struts is also something I am capable of doing myself and both would be getting new inserts. I would also like to know what is the best value for camber/caster plates?
