PinoyDat210
Is the throttle opener diaphram/speed up choke assy. neccessary? If not how would you go about plugging and disconnecting? Because i have been trying to get my hitachi 306 to work and it didnt have a servo but was plugged into the twelve volt connector? so i was just wondering about that. thanks Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
No not necessary. I do not know how you'd go about removing it. I wouldn't bother, the Throttle Opener you can plug, and the choke linkage is a good thing. Quote Link to comment
PinoyDat210
Yea, i dont know how it happened, its weird like the vacuum and the little bar that goes with it isn't there, but it still has the plug to the throttle opener and the bracket. So do i even have to put the throttle opener device back onto the manifold?, or can i just delete the whole thing and make some space? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The Throttle Opener does not connect to the manifold, it is bolted to the carburetor. Perhaps you mean something else. Got pics? Quote Link to comment
PinoyDat210
Correct me if i am wrong, but I mean the throttle opener solenoid is mounted on the intake manifold and then connected to the engine wires and then has a vacuum hose line, which i think then connects to the servo diaphram. I am missing the vacuum that mounts on the carb better known as the servo. In its place there is a adjustable bolt that touches the throttle linkeage when it comes to a close, pushing in a black button like thing, then when it touches. I will try to post pictures up soon. something like this: http://datsun1200.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=11625 Quote Link to comment

That sounds like a dashpot. Not all A-series carburetors have a Throttle Opener. Quote Link to comment
PinoyDat210
Sorry i dont have a working camera at the moment, but, i am not talking about the dashpot the button thing is excactly were the throttle opener(servo diap.) is. My hitachi has the dashpot but not the vaccum. Quote Link to comment
