anyways i picked up another datsun a 72' 620 the one above is not it , anways i wanted if the exhaust mani off that l16 will bolt on my l20 with the l20 intake. i saw earlier today some one was taking abount putting the l16 intake but every one kinda shot him down

Yes it will bolt right on, even if it's a head with round exhaust ports. You don't want to go the other way around(round port ex. manifold over square ex. ports; it will leak).

 

If the L20b intake is the style that doesn't attach to the ex manifold via the heat riser, it will work with the L16 manifold.

thanx you then i will probably end up using the intake too cause i believe mine dose . infact the reason im changing the exhaust is because the butterfly in the manifold is leaking out the side and i hate the noise

yeah it has some flap in there with a lever that sticks out the side and i that use to hook up to a vacuum diaphragm for some emissions thing . im not sure cuz non of it was there when i got the truck

If it is the heat riser, it's not for emissions -- it is to make the engine run good when cold. When the heat riser is working, you can start the engine and drive away immediately. It is used on exhaust manifolds that bolt to the intake.
