phatdave
Okay Ive been struggling with the timing on my L20. Today I goes out onto the back deck and find an old Distributor mount laying there. So out of boredom I start polishing it. I goes out and looks at my engine and I say to myself, self, them motherfuckers look different.. Sure as shit they are, tried to phot them but something isn't working right. The tab with the screw that holds down the Dist. is off by...well lets say one is at 6:30 the other is at about 6:40 if you can picture that. Thats a LOT of timing difference. ANYBODY? Different Dist. brackets? Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
There are at least 3 if not 4 types- early smallcap points-type, large-cap points type, and EI type (and could be different between remote box and matchbox). I don't think single/dual points ones were different, but I always keep them together. You very much need the one that came with the dist... I'm always surprised when folks take the dist and not the pedestal at the U-pull. If you leave 'em bolted together the yardbirds don't know the difference... Quote Link to comment
