280z value?

I been looking for 280z religiously and i came across a nice one today. Im not sure how much i should spend on a 280z yet but here is the ad.

 

The Guy said it has a small bubble near the rain rails, and a little rust near the front lower fender. Interior seats are ripped and dash is cracked ( i have not seen the extent of the damage). 2nd owner

 

50k original miles but im pretty sure its 150k.

1978, just found out its a 3 speed automatic. Can you swap a 5 speed tranny with ease?

well dont forget youll have to smog it, if i would get it i would offer $3000-3500. And a 5 speed swap should be faily simple, but you should calculate how much that'll cost you.

 

5 speed tranny $100?

new flywheel $100?

new flywheel bolts $40?

new clutch kit $100?

clutch pedel 40??

drive shaft 100?

Forget it...if you're set on a 280 get a '75. Dealing with smog is annoying haha :lol:

'75 and older. '76 280's need to be smogged.
