undercover customs
Hello, new here but looking for some help with ID ing this caliper. I purchased these struts with this caliper at a swap meet and fabbed them into a new suspension for my 59 Opel. I was told they were from a older Datsun but there are no id numbers on them. The pads seem to be d57's and the only thing I have been able to find for the caliper is a picture at the parts store raybestos catalog showing RC3285 which they say is obsolete. Any help would be awesome.. Thanks http://www.flickr.com/photos/63808482@N07/?saved=1 Quote Link to comment
yello620
I can see the Nissan emblem on the end of the caliper. So that might be a good start. Here is what the D57 pads fit. TOYOTA CAMRY (_V2_)1986/10 - 1991/05 TOYOTA CAMRY Station Wagon (_V2_)1986/11 - 1991/05 TOYOTA CORONA (RX, RT)1975/12 - 1981/01 NISSAN DATSUN 180 B (PL810)1977/05 - 1981/01 NISSAN LAUREL (HLC230)1977/03 - 1983/05 NISSAN PICK UP (720)1982/01 - 1986/03 NISSAN SILVIA (S110)1979/01 - 1983/05 They have Toyota and Nissan applications. undercover customs
I figured the trucks didn't have struts, eliminated those at first. Are there other pads that are similar? I could be mistaken on the pad part number. I went with what a parts guy showed me in one of his catalogs. thanks for the quick response. Are there interchange calipers to these struts?
